Excellent movie, nice exhibits, and friendly staff. We received a lot of information about the park. Plan on spending 4 hours at the park to do everything. We got out 3 times to explore. The video plays every half hour and is worth …
Liked the ability to drive and stop at your own pace to view the monuments and battlefield. The visitor center offered information and guidance to self tour. The USS Cairo display is wonderful, along with the view of the River from the Cairo museum.
No free WiFi but a fantastic movie played in the theater every 30 minutes. You can also watch this movie beforehand on the National Parks website for Vicksburg, too. …
Very cool historical site. The iron clad was awesome! One of the coolest piece of history I've seen so far.
Wow...one of the best Military parks I've been to. It's overwhelming seeing the placement of the Confederate and Union troops who fought there.
Great tour through the battlefield and so much good info. We learned a ton!!!
A very cool place to learn about a key piece of American history. I like how they honor the soldiers equally from both the North and the South. The rangers are very helpful and knowledgeable. We spent most of the day at the park. We got the 2.5 hour audio guide. It was a great way to learn about different parts of the battles.
It was an amazing experience. Rich with history and the park rangers are very knowledgeable about the time of the civil war. Statues, plaques and monuments throughout the park show where actual battles happened. Great view of the Mississippi River from the hilltop.
A very moving experience. It was a privilege to share this opportunity with my 15 year old nephew. Today's youth is not taught the same history that we were back in the day and to be able to share this experience was amazing. Thank you for letting us take a stroll back in time..
The driving tour will take you through some lovely rolling hills, with lots of "points of interest" statues/monuments. Don't rely on downloading the app and being able to listen to the audio portion of the tour via your cell phone - cell …
